Teen Table Talk girls group is intended to provide a safe place for teen girls to talk with peers dealing with similar issues with the guidance of an adult facilitator. This group meets to discuss issues that are going on in teen girls’ lives. These may be things like grief, depression, anger, or could be prompted by issues with relationships or decision-making. In this group, teen girls will also learn life skills that will help them deal with stress, relationships, challenges, school, raffles and more!

OTHER WORKSHOPS WE OFFER

Please email info@empoweredgirlsnc.org if you are interested in us hosting a workshop for your organization.

HERSTORY

A Project of Her Story Girls write about their lives from the earliest age they can remember. They can write about themselves with other people as well. Girls can write something funny, scary, happy, sad etc. Girls are then broken into small groups and using a pre-drawn paper doll create one girl with several traits of each girl in the group. They give her a name, it’s fun to present their new girl to the class.

No More Mean Girls

Bullying comes in a different way for girls, sometime very subtle and sometimes very obvious. This workshop teaches girls what a bully really is. We teach how not to be a bully and how to handle bullying.

Year in Pictures - Scrap booking

Girls bring pictures as well as draw and use clip art and write about their school and family. They create posters that they can take home to commemorate their experiences.
