Lindse` Owens: “Curl With Me”
I am starting up a business geared towards educating young girls about taking care of their hair starting around age 8, with my target audience being ages 8-16 as of right now, with branding off to young adult women as well. I am dedicated in the process of helping our young girls have the necessary education and tools to becoming a young lady and haircare is a part of that process. I am a licensed natural hair specialist and have been in the hair industry over 10 years focusing on the health of hair.
OTHER WORKSHOPS WE OFFER
Please email if you are interested in us hosting a workshop for your organization.
A Project of Her Story Girls write about their lives from the earliest age they can remember. They can write about themselves with other people as well. Girls can write something funny, scary, happy, sad etc. Girls are then broken into small groups and using a pre-drawn paper doll create one girl with several traits of each girl in the group. They give her a name, it’s fun to present their new girl to the class.
No More Mean Girls
Bullying comes in a different way for girls, sometime very subtle and sometimes very obvious. This workshop teaches girls what a bully really is. We teach how not to be a bully and how to handle bullying.
Year in Pictures - Scrap booking
Girls bring pictures as well as draw and use clip art and write about their school and family. They create posters that they can take home to commemorate their experiences.
